Three micro-hydroelectric power plants in Nukus district and two in Khojaly district have begun generating electricity for local residents.
In particular, 3 micro hydropower plants with a total capacity of 45 kW were commissioned in the Nukus district and 2 micro hydropower plants with a capacity of 50 kW each in the Khojaly district (total 145 kW) .
These micro hydropower plants generate an average of 840,000 kWh of electricity per year.
